I SECOND THAT EMOTION . . .
- Dan Hand
- 12/12/12
Viveca Lindfors is physically exquisite! Dane Clark, usually a supporting player, gets a shot at a lead, for a change, but really lacks the gravitas and charisma of a leading man, especially for that era. That is not his fault; I just feel that he was rather miscast, here.

Rich script

Viveca Lindfors is stunningly beautiful and I enjoyed her performance in this movie. This was very good in that the script was rich and moved along smoothly. There was suspense, drama, and romance all the elements that make a very enjoyable movie. I am looking forward to watching this again. I seem to never tire of Film Noir.

Okay film noir

Not a great film but one that does manage to hold your interest throughout. Virginia Mayo was truly a beauty back then and, in this role, actually plays a good girl for a change. Edmund O'Brien gives his usual good performance. Poor Dane Clark, always cast as the bad guy, is particularly good in this film as the usual villain. I'm a film noir junkie and watch each time TCM has several of them on. This was a good film to include in my viewing.
