  • Just don't get it

    As much as I love old movies and TCM, I just don't get how these types of performers were so popular. The Al Jolsen style of singing just grates on my ears after about 30 seconds. To each his own I guess, but I think it's just too different from what we hear today. I did give it two stars because we get to see what the sets looked like from this time period, but that is the only redeeming quality.
