How many stars can you pack into one movie? This was fun just to try to name all the great actors!Truly one of the best stories going. Wish we made movies like this today, we have nothing to compair to the beauty and grace embodied in Jean Simmons and the chemistry between Victor Mature and Jean, Wow!Loved it ! Black and white kept it true to the original way it was to be viewed. The play of light and shadow is lost on colorized movies. The play of light on Jean Simmons face as she was describing her faith was nothing short of divine cinematography.

Uns dos meus filmes prediletos do Victor e da Jean Simmons. Um belo filme que merece ser visto.

It's been my experience that those of us who limit their viewings to only Color, or 60's and 70's as old movies, are missing out on some of the best entertainment. They may not have been "Perfect", but they were fun. I remember seeing "Androcles and the Lion" on TV as a little girl of about 6 or 7 years old, and I was born in 1947. Let me tell you, it's movies like this that made me fall in love with movies. I let my imagination go and pictured myself befriending a lion but keeping in mind that they were dangerous also. They opened your mind to the world of imagination and this is what made our people great and our country great. Imagination! Lets not forget the wonderful oldies movies, cause they can still thrill the mind, with the impossible. I loved this movie my whole life, but unfortunately, I probably will never get to buy it or even see it again. I just know you'll love it too!!!!! Oldie who loves Oldies movies
