This is another movie I saw when I was in grammar school and loved it. I too would like to have the DVD. Anyone know where I can get it?

It's my favorite movie. I watched it as a child on TV, and would love to see it released on DVD.

Lovely movie. Gentle love story about a rich deaf girl and a poor doctor. Susan Hayward is beautiful as the younger sister. Would love to see it released on DVD.

Whenever this movie was on television I would always watch it.It is a heart warming story of how a rich girl falls in love with a doctor from the other side of the tracks. Loretta Young is lovely as that girl, and Alan Ladd is so handsome as the serious doctor. For those of you who love romance this is a must see. TCM should show this film often. I have not been able to find it on tv for at least 10 years or more now. I wish it could be released on dvd.

Saw this when I was just a child, and still remember how good it was. Alan Ladd & Loretta Young were wonderful in it.

I saw this movie when it originally came out in 1944 and have loved it ever since. It is definitely one of my favorites. Both Loretta Young and Alan Ladd were great in it. I did see it several years ago on TV and have been able to get a library copy of the book by Rachel Field which follows the movie pretty accurately.
