The working titles of this film were You Go to My Heart and I Want to Sing. In a December 1941 Hollywood Reporter news item, Universal announced it was making a film titled I Want to Sing, starring Jane Frazee and the Merry Macs, written by Oscar Brodney and Jack Rubin, and produced by Howard Bromley. It has not been determined, however, if this proposed project eventually became All By Myself.
