The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Fincher's adaptation of Fitzgerald meditation of love, death and regret. Pitt was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar as a man born in his eighty's who ages backwards, Blanchett is solid and Henson was nominated as Pitt's adoptive mother. Won three Oscars for it's Production design, makeup and visual effects. Sluggishly-slow and too much like a "Forrest Gump" sequel, this can still be an effective if empty entertaining film. I give it a 3.5/5.

This movie won 3 Academy Awards, including Best Visual Effects, but it should've won Best Picture (f*ck you, Slumdog Millionaire!), because this movie is just powerful. The directing is amazing, the cast (including Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Julia Ormond, Taraji P. Henson, Elle Fanning, Phyllis Somerville, etc.) give off masterful performances, and everything else about it is absolutely terrific! Once you see the film and realize that it lost Best Picture & Best Director to "Slumdog", you'll be dumbfounded. That said, absolutely reccomended!
he Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
Impressive production - the art direction, make-up, and cinematography are magnificent. Brad Pitt is amazing. The story is fascinating. It did seem it's 2 1/2 hour length, a little cutting would have helped, but overall a top notch film that is outstanding.
