Show Kids still great for kids today
- Harry Kingston
- 6/12/12
Warner Bros knows how to do it as Kids and Technicolor how can you miss. What audiences must have thought back during to great depression seeing a black and white film and this short appeared in beautiful Technicolor. It is like Kansas in black and white and going to Oz in Technicolor. Great acts from the small fry and as cute as you can get. And this short is great for kids of today to see and enjoy. Thank you TCM for presenting these gems of days gone by for us to enjoy today.

Show Kids Rock The Block!
- Johnie
- 6/12/12
So I called out of work today (cough-cough:) and I'm convinced that it was an occassion arranged by the Movie Gods for the sole purpose of me watching this show spectacular! The kids are amazing... a dizzying whirlwind of baby bloomers, pint-sized gentlemen's suits and Temple-esque curls! I love how the director left in the little bloopers as well - eg. Kids running out of air mid-line in a song or a kid running into another kid on the dance line. These aren't little child-star robots who dominate with their perfection (although you can almost see the dreams of their parents in the reflection of their shiny patent Mary-Janes:) Even in the shadow of Shirley's emerging stardom at the time, these are some really amazing kids... Show Kids! Highlight: Homeboy singing "The Flying Trapeze"!

Just adorable

I turned on my TV and there it was "Show Kids". I was stunned by performing ability of this kids, how adorable they are-just could not get my eyes off it. Unfortunately it was half gone before I saw it and put a recording on. And it doesn't show the future show time either. I would love to own this record in DVD or if you please run it again so I would record it in full and show to my granddaughters who are now 3 and 5 yo. and both love to dance and sing as many little girls do. Thanks. MH.
