  I wish I could find this movie on DVD. I also wish TCM would play the movie form time to time. It is very funny.

  "The Body Disappears" is a daffy comedy with sci-fi undertones. Passing out from overindulgence during his bachelor party, young millionaire Peter De Haven (Jeffrey Lynn) is placed on a slab in a medical school morgue by his prankish friends. Before Peter can awaken, he is kidnapped by the campus crackpot Professor Shotesbury (Edward Everett Horton), who needs a "dead body" upon which to test his new life-restoring serum. Rather than bringing DeHaven’s body back to life Shotesbury's miracle drug succeeds only in rendering it invisible. Peter uses his transparency to discover that his fiancee is a two-timing gold-digger and falls for Shotesbury's perky daughter Joan (Jane Wyman). Meanwhile, Professor Shotesbury tries to find an antidote before Peter’s condition becomes permanent only to be locked away in the loony bin. Joan takes the serum and removes her clothes to become invisible in order to rescue her dad. Though the special effects are subpar this film is still funny nearly sixty after its release. "The Body Disappears" is worth a look if you can find it.

  This is one of the funnest movies I have ever seen. Will Best is great. He makes this movie. It is a shame it is not available on DVD. TCM should be ashamed of themselves for not seeing that this movie is put on DVD. If for no other reason so we can watch Willie Best at his best!
