I was in this movie as an extra and would like to get a copy.

  • A very good made-for-TV movie, greatly unheralded.

This 1969 TV movie was a fine production, and grossly underrated and unheralded. It had a plethora of fine performers. It's hard to believe this movie hasn't been released on DVD nor shown on TV in many years. I believe it was supposed to be the pilot for a long-running series which never materialized. It was shown as reruns on local TV stations throughout the seventies, ususally in the wee hours of the morning. I recall last seeing this movie in 1981 and that was it! We never find out whether they were rescued. The more recent movie "Castaway" with Tom Hanks had several similarities to "Lost Flight".

I know a friend of mine, she & her Husband were in the movie as extras, They lived Hawaii, so they got the part as a preacher & wife, which was really true. That's so neat, I hope they make it into a DVD soon. I haven't seen the movie yet. Thanks Shari
