The Devil With Hitler
- Michael
- 8/31/11
I first saw this as a "B" film in 1942. I was only 7 at the time but I fell off my seat 6 times, I thought it was so funny. I remember it as much longer, in fact Helliwell's showed it as 88 mins in earlier editions.

Should be longer!

This is a bit of Hal Roach genius! ow often do you get to make fun of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Fascist Imperial Japan, and Satan at the same time! The romantic subplot is easily the worst part of the whole movie and could have been eliminated, but the rest of it is comic gold. In fact, I wish it were longer! 120 minutes instead of 44! Honestly, I wish today's fimmakers had Hal Roach Jr.'s courage and would make this type of comedy about Terrorists.
