While sources call this both a six and seven reel film, Wid's lists its length as 4,785 feet. Zane Grey's novel was serialized in Popular magazine, beginning on March 1, 1913. The novel was filmed twice again: by Famous Players-Lasky in 1926, with Neil Hamilton starring and George B. Seitz directing, and by Paramount in 1936, with Buster Crabbe starring and James Hogan directing (see below).
