As the result of the automobile accident that kills her father, Judith Allen gradually loses her sight. Bitter and depressed, she breaks off with her fiancé, David Hale, and retires to a lodge in the mountains, renouncing God. David learns of her whereabouts and, attempting to reach her during a storm, is badly injured by a falling tree. Judith is at his bedside and, moved by her great love for him, prays for his recovery. David's condition immediately begins to improve, and Judith, her faith in God fully restored, recovers her sight.
