The organizers of the collective were Jackson Brown, Graham Nash, Bonnie Raitt and John Hall. The concert marked the first official appearance of Bruce Springsteen and the E Steet Band. Other performers include James Taylor, Carly Simon, David Crosby and Steven Stills with Graham Nash, The Doobie Brothers, and Gil Scott-Heron. In addition to the concert footage, the organizers discuss the dangers of nuclear power and the staging of a rally at Battery Park is seen.
