I love this one,usually TCM puts the other version with Red Skeleton on. The cast is great . Ernest Truex and Una Merkle stars and makes a great team. Thanks TCM for showing this one.

This is such a wonderful movie!! I dont see why its not on DVD. It is soooo funny, I couldnt stop laughing half the time!! This should so totally be on DVD!!!!!

Title Suggested Whistling in the Dark This rare 1933 film was the original version which starred Ernest Truex (this is not the frequently played version with Red Skelton). It was last shown in 1976 at the Museum of Modern Art Bi-Centennial Festival of Great American Comedies. According to Leonard Maltin, who selected the films being shown... it is a very funny American Comedy, worthy of screening. Yes, it was .... I saw it then and have waited ever since to see it again.. do you even have a print... since it was an MGM film, you might!
