Powerful emotional scenes that usually remind us that in our own life's experience we connect with the actors as they protray these feelings. Not all scenes invoke the feelimgs but it only takes one or two scenes to stir our inner emotions and make the movie very powerful. I have an acquaintance that held her dead husband of 50+ years who had died on the kithchen floor for over 2 hours before she called 911. She had tried all the life support being an RN and it had failed. She wanted time alone with him before he was taken away.
The farewell movie for Two Great Actors
Summer Solstice is an important film for those of us who enjoy collecting classic films. Henry Fonda and Myrna Loy are making final appearances on film at the end of their magnificent careers. This important contribution to their body of works should be more available so that those of us who value their total life's achievements can access it. There are only a couple of very expensive VHS tapes available on line at this time. This is yet another example of good works which slip into oblivion. I, fortunately, have a "not so good" homemade vhs tape recorded many years ago, which has degrated over time. I can still enjoy it though, but would hope for the availabilty of good copy commercially available. Thanks
I think this is such a lovely moive that represents the highs and low of marriage, but that love can endure. I saw this growing up in HS and have never forgotten it. I wish someone would would bring this beautiful movie out for viewing again. It a message of hope much like movie, "The Notebook". Thanks for allowing comments. KC
