  Every month I check TCM to see if Night That Panicked America is going to be on. It has been at least 2 to 3 years since it has been on around Halloween.

  Another great made-for-TV movie from the 1970's. All the actors are great and believable, especially Paul Shenar as Orson Welles.

  Ebay has the movie The Night That Panicked America , this was shown back in 1975 on ABC TV and I believe the start for the movie War Of The Worlds. At last can finish my collection. That is so far until the next take off.

  i would love to see this again and would love it if it would come out on dvd .i have told my grandkids about this movie an they would like to see how orson wells paniced america for one night they think it was a great think to do on halloween and they would love to see this movie .i think it is great that the young people are wanted to watch the old movies.

• The Start of War of the Worlds

  In listening of the radio show and watching the movie The Night That Panicked America it is easy enough to understand why things happen the way they did that night. Plus the way they came up with the special effects they used back in 1938 and if I`m not mistaken some were use in the making of the 1953 movie War Of The Worlds. I have all the movies except this one and I`m dying to get my hands on it and if I get it, it be my 4th one so far.
