Columbia had a good fine actor in Todd Armstrong and that studio showcased their star m Jason and the Argonauts- a very fine film. Great special effects. Whatever happened to Todd Armstrong?

What a great movie looks like

This is an example. It is the type of movie that you don't pass up when flipping through the channels. It is just an enjoyable movie!! I don't know anyone who can resist not watching Talos come to life or the skeleton fight. As others have said, you can;'t compare the special effects used in the movie to what is out there today, but you watch simply cause it is just a fun movie to see once or twice a year. The musical score is very good and easy to listen to. Enjoy the movie, and Nancy Kovack isn't so bad on the eyes either!.

On a cold Detroit afternoon, it's hard to top this action flick. I can still remember the buzz this movie generated back in the summer of 1963.

I grew up with this movie and I'm still glued to the story. Sure the effects are corny by todays standard but it was the cinematics and fantasy of the story that holds you again and again.

jason @ argonauts is a wondeful saturday matinee flick and the ray harryhausen effects are what movie making should be not this computer generated striving for reality forgetting the story and fantasy aspect of this kind of movie genre. thank you.
