Jason and the Argonauts
The best film version of the Greek myth. Jason and his his warriors set sail to find the collect the Golden Fleece. Harryhausen's special effects are what people remember most about the film, like Talos, the Harpies and the Skeleton warriors. An entertaining, charming adaptation of the Greek myth. I give it a 4/5.
Fantastic Greek Mythology Fantasy
Ray Harryhousens fantastic creative artistic touch dominates the screen once again as he brings to life Jason(Todd Armstrong) and the Argonauts. Clever telling of the story in search of the Golden Fleece and the obstacles Jason and his crew have to overcome and survive. Terrific special effects dominate what would have been another dull and lifeless film.Voluptous Medea(Nancy Kovack) fills up the screen with her charms most mortals dare not attempt to fulfill. Don Chaffey skillfully directs and Hera(Honor Blackman) also stars.5 stars out of 5. Pure delightful fantasy, but does have some violent moments.

This is a true legend on greek mythology so pick this one up!
Columbia had a good fine actor in Todd Armstrong and that studio showcased their star m Jason and the Argonauts- a very fine film. Great special effects. Whatever happened to Todd Armstrong?
What a great movie looks like
This is an example. It is the type of movie that you don't pass up when flipping through the channels. It is just an enjoyable movie!! I don't know anyone who can resist not watching Talos come to life or the skeleton fight. As others have said, you can;'t compare the special effects used in the movie to what is out there today, but you watch simply cause it is just a fun movie to see once or twice a year. The musical score is very good and easy to listen to. Enjoy the movie, and Nancy Kovack isn't so bad on the eyes either!.
A True Classic

On a cold Detroit afternoon, it's hard to top this action flick. I can still remember the buzz this movie generated back in the summer of 1963.

I grew up with this movie and I'm still glued to the story. Sure the effects are corny by todays standard but it was the cinematics and fantasy of the story that holds you again and again.
