Brief Synopsis

An adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, "Martin Chuzzlewit." Suspicious of his greedy family, Chuzzlewit is instrumental in keeping apart his ward and his grandson, who loves her. Grandfather and grandson are eventually reconciled. Set in London and Wiltshire in the 1830s.

    This is my favorite Dickens film. I saw it when it first came out in 1995 on PBS. I brought the film as part of a set. Great characters. MORE>
