For RIMPAC '96, one team, consisting of U.S. and Japanese forces, supports the aggressor, a fictitious country called Capmid. The other, a Multi-National Force (MNF) consisting of U.S., Australian, Canadian, South Korean and Chilean forces, is "authorized" by the U.N. to support Capmid's target, Pacifica. The battle is captured by camera crews on air, sea and land.
