What can be said about Faye Dunaway that you do not already know? When Ms. Dunaway is on the screen she is not ''playing a part'' in a movie, she becomes the character, making you believe she has been that person all her life. Larua Mars is a famous fashion photographer in New York City. Her body of work has developed from a series of dreamlike visions of bloody murders, which she transforms into the very art which brought her to the top of her field. Miss Mars uses a combination of sex, high fashion and violence to create elegant photographs and much controversy. Only when her friends and co-workers become the targets does she realize these are not dreams, but exactly what the killer sees while committing the crimes. Investigating the case, the lead detective, played by Tommy Lee Jones, becomes romantically involved with Laura Mars. Information is gathered and Lauras driver becomes a suspect. He has a shady past and a criminal record to support this theory. The shocking ending is a surprise, not your typical who-done-it. Made in 1978, the outstanding soundtrack contains many seldom heard disco songs with a strong rock and roll vibe, not your typical top forty radio hits from the disco era that make most people cringe. A strong supporting cast helps bring the storyline to life, helping to draw the audience closer to the frightening developments terrorizing the mind and the EYES OF LAURA MARS.

A fine thriller, the professional cast works in it's favor, as does the excellent score. Professionally made. It doesn't fully convince, but it held my interest for the most part. Rene Auberjonois is good in a supporting role.
