Source: Myself. I am the author of five books on the Alamo, including both tie-in books for this film.

The battle of the Alamo has been depicted at least 20 times in films. The set was not 40 acres, but 51 acres. It was located on Reimers Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas, near Austin.
