A womanizing TV star meets his match in an independent teenager.

Confirmed bachelor Robert Danvers, the star of a television gourmet program, makes a travesty of a wedding by seducing the bride as she changes from her wedding gown into street clothes. He then meets Marion, a 19-year-old American girl who has just quarreled with her boyfriend, Jimmy, over his infidelity. Robert invites her to his luxurious apartment and attempts to seduce her; to his shock, Marion laughs at his approach and bluntly suggests that they make love. The next day, Robert allows her to move into his apartment and later takes her on a wine-tasting trip to France, climaxed by a visit to the Riviera. Upon their return to England, Marion rejects Robert's marriage proposal and returns to Jimmy, who has promised to be faithful. The aging playboy is distraught, but he soon recovers when a pretty secretary displays an interest in him.
