On a New Year's Day mission to save a mother and daughter from eviction, a self-designated "urbangriot" sets out on a citywide quest for money. His search turns into a superbly comical, outrageousexpedition in the course of which he encounters a good Samaritan, a would-be enforcer, a mute ex-Black Panther, an angry shrew and, finally, great jazz. Critic Jonathan Rosenbaum chose this short asone of the "Ten Best Films of All Time" calling it "a near miracle!"
