    I watched this movie. The irony of a spelling bee is that no matter how well you prepare for it, there still is no guarantee of success. There is only one winner. There was one contender who used all of his leisure time in preparing for it and still did not win. A spelling bee always has the element of luck to it. So that even though you can spell thermoclyne and acolyte correctly, there is always many other obscure words to throw you off your game. Also a spellng bee has many words omitted from it so as to offend the least number of people and audiences, like abortion would never be on a spelling bee.
