"The Pilgrim," an escaped convict, steals a minister's clothes and accepts a position in a Texas church. A pantomimed sermon on David and Goliath is one of the amusing situations that ensue. The Pilgrim's true identity is revealed when he tries to recover from a crook friend some money stolen from The Pilgrim's landlady, but the sheriff turns him loose at the Mexican border.
