An Awesome Historic Firefighting Picture
- Chief Harry Cohoon
- 2/16/08
2/16 I saw this great movie about 12 years ago and have found actual lobby cards that hung in a presenting theater. The movie not only does a Hollywood story but is chocked full of historic fire apparatus and a view of real life in the fire service as well as the general society for 1937. This is an awesome look at the Los Angles Fire Department and the famous Hollywood Engine House 27, which is now a museum as new quarters were constructed next door following the earthquake in 1994. As a Firefighter and Fire Service historian, I'd love to have a DVD of this show!
