Excellent for Dance Appreciation Course
- Eulaine McIntosh
If you can ge a hold of these oldies, they are excellent examples of dance in film and the style of ballet at the time it was recorded. There aren't enough of the documented or filmed ballets available to us dance appreciation teachers. Please make DVDs!

A Lost Gem
- Arnold Simon
This uplifting relic from the past moves me to tears. The beauty of the music, the costumes, the dancing all vestiges of what once was. Its unlikely that todays young people would be impressed. What passes for entertainment now appeals to baser instincts.
Classic Massine Gaite Parisien
- Jay Haller
This performeance features dancers formerly with the Baller Russe de Monte Carlo and Leonid Masine's break-away company. He choreographed the Offenbach music and created the role of the waiter - one of ballet's great character parts = his career lasted over 70 years - best know to movie-goers as the Russian teacher who dances the role of the shoemaker in the "Red Shoes."
