Funny, touching, and enjoyable
I had an old DVD recorded when this was on TCM a few years ago and pulled it out the other day for kicks. I enjoyed it all over again. The principle adult male members of this cast are a parody of overzealous parents involved with their kids' junior sports teams. Even Walter Matthau gets bitten by the bug before the story is over. But I also agree that the kids truly make this movie. Great casting and great performances. Who gets the most coaching, the kids or the parents? If TCM airs this again, watch it and draw your own conclusion.
More entertaining than title suggests
Lots of fun with excellent Matthau, Oscar Madison as little league coach. Kids are great.
The Coach needed in ALL Our Lives
This story reminded me importances of Men in every Boy's life to lead them.A Coach is vital thou He has weaknesses Boy's overlook this weakness for the Care ,and fealings Boy's and Girls have when they join a bond of togetherness. The Movie shows Quieting has a worsier outcome than the feeling of finishing together. Please show this Movie agian. Thankyou
