Hurrah For May and Carole, what a duo
Love this film as much as LADY FOR A DAY!
I was very impressed with this film. It had some screwball elements, but in today's age, it was very true to "Do Unto Others". May Robson is the runaway star, everyone else outstanding. Worth DVR'ing for any felling low moments.
Lady by Choice
This movie has a lot to say about one human being helping another who doesn't know she needs help till the "big picture" is presented to her for full view. It's funny how we all try to help someone else but don't think about ourselves needing help when sometimes we really could use help and just don't know it.

I agree with the previous poster's comments. Lombard has good role in this film and so does May Robson. In fact, the two word very well together, and it would've been fun if there had been a sequel. What I like most is how the characters' lives reflect each other. The relationship seems real, even if the set-up is a bit hokey. They are affectionate and they bicker, just like family. The film moves at a quick pace, and none of it seems belabored. The point being made about how women of different generations look out for one another is done in an entertaining way.
A Rare Carole Lombard Film.
