Wonderful Sir Alec Guiness
- I_Fortuna
- 1/16/13
I seem to be one of the few people left who appreciates a dry sense of humor. I loved this movie and love Sir Alec Guiness. This certainly was a team effort on the part of everyone on this film. The scenes were shot smoothly and the supporting actors were splendid in their characters. The direction and screenplay were so well done it almost seems like a director's dream. Such professionalism must have made this a fun and worthy film to make.

Father Brown (1954)
- James Higgins
- 6/2/10
Alec Guinness is excellent as Father Brown, a priest who also works as a part-time detective. He is perfectly cast. The supporting cast is fine. Great story, well written and Robert Hamer capably directs. Amusing and a good mystery as well. Another great Guinness comedy from the early 1950s.
