Very enjoyable, good fun and as with most Andy Hardy films, it has a good morale. Mickey Rooney is great.

"OUT WEST WITH THE HARDYS" IS A FILM ABOUT A FAMILYS TRIP OUT WEST, WHERE THEY ATTEMPT TO HELP THEIR OLD FRIENDS IN THEIR FIGHT WITH A MAN WHO CONTROLS THE WATER RIGHTS ON THEIR LAND. MICKEY ROONEY STARS IN THIS FILM AS ANDY HARDY, IN IN YET ANOTHER OF THE POPULAR "ANDY HARDY" MOVIES. ALONG THE WAY THE ENERGETIC ANDY, WHO NOW THINKS OF HIMSELF AS A COWBOY, GETS IN AND OUT OF TROUBLE WHILE TRYING TO SHOW OFF TO A LITTLE GIRL (VIRGINIA WEIDLER). WHILE TRYING TO HELP THEIR FRIENDS, THE HARDY FAMILY THEMSELVES END UP IN TROUBLE AS THEY BECOME INVOLVED IN A PLOT TO SAVE THEIR FRIENDS LAND. ALL SEEMS LOST, BUT BY THE END OF THE FILM JUDGE HARDY (LEWIS STONE) HAS THE PROBLEM SOLVED. THIS ENTERTAINING FILM HAS ALL OF THE "ANDY HARDY" REGULARS, AND OF COURSE MICKEY ROONEY DOES WELL AS ANDY. A GOOD CAST HELPS THIS FILM A LOT, BUT VIRGINIA WEIDLER NEARLY STEALS THIS MOVIE OUT FROM UNDER MICKEY ROONEY (NOT AN EASY THING TO DO). THE TALENTED CHILD STAR VIRGINIA WEIDLER GETS A LOT OF SCREEN TIME HERE, AND AS ALWAYS SHE DOES GREAT. THIS IS AN ENTERTAINING FAMILY MOVIE , AND FANS OF THE "ANDY HARDY" SERIES WILL LIKE IT.
