Great start, turns bad when they have a goodwill mission. Always worth watching the great Durante, but extra bonus watching Sinatra with the schnozolla do their stuff. Sinatra does one of his best love songs. And, "the song has to come from the heart" is a classic.

A great film and seeing frank,Durante and katherine Grayson was wonderful. I taped the film and keep watching frank sing "it's the same old dream"over and over again. He's accompanied by the Starlighters and it's a classic. The teenagers who sing with Frank may not be the Starlighters but who is the teen age girl in the song version?Robert Osborn is great on movie trivia so I'm hoping He could answer my quewtion.

I happened to turn to TCM today and It Happened in Brooklyn started with the credits and caught my attention as I grew up in Brooklyn. I started to enjoy Frank Sinatra's youthful character and when he returned to his old high school it was New Utrecht High School, my old alma mater. I was immediately hooked and really enjoyed the top-notch cast with the great Jimmy Durante, Peter Lawford and Kathryn Grayson. The music was delightful and the next two hours entertained me beyond expectations. I have ordered a vhs copy of the movie to share with my wife later this month. Frank made many movies but this gem with Jimmy Durante is right up there with the best. Watching Frank and Jimmy in a duet was the highlight of the movie. Listening to Kathryn Grayson's classical voice was a bonus. Knowing the relationship that Frank had with Peter Lawford in later years in Las Vegas, made their roles in this movie even more fascinating.
