Warmly funny and adorable light comedy. But I gotta have an answer to this: What is the title of the piano solo that Peter Ustinov plays in the film that completely charms Maggie Smith? Classical pianists probably know.

THIS FILM IS TRULY HEARTWARMING, FUNNY AND EMOTIONAL BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE CANNOT PURCHASE THIS IN THE UK ON OUR FORMAT SO THE FILM IS NOT GIVEN THE CREDIT IT DESERVES OUTSIDE OF THE USA.

This is a delightful little comedy. A well blended cast that exemplifies with purpose - the Britishhumor to its very height. Who can resist Maggie Smith, certainly not Peter Ustinov, nor can aspecialist of dry wit humor in Bob Newhart. Throw in Karl Malden, 1970's Europe and this oneis made for some good entertainment. Computer Techies will get a kick out of the securityapplication used - but is a precursor to applying such measures in today's world that are still guarded with stringent measures. Smith's "pudding," line is a true trip across the pond. See it!

First saw this years ago. A thoroughly enjoyable, excellently acted and scripted film. It's a great movie very suitable for re-screening again and again on TCM.

Only Maggie Smith could steal this film from the great Peter Ustinov. Wonderful love story. Don't miss the unlucky Smith cutting cards for a chance at marriage and Ustinov's touching response. Think about his reason for requiring her to do so too. Don't miss it. Don't do it.

Fine, interesting cast, led by the great Peter Ustinov. I enjoyed seeing Bob Newhart in a more serious role. Comedians are often good dramatic actors as well. Nice background song by Lulu in one of the scenes.
