This movie made Douglas Fairbanks the king of action pictures throughout the silent era. It also cemented the action picture as one of America's favorites. Fairbanks became to action what Chaplin was to comedy. The movie itself is a gem. It is well written, well directed, and well acted. Silent films of the 20's were much more modern than earlier films. Directors such as Fred Niblo began to create movies that stood up as a unique art form, as opposed to simply filming a stage play. Watching films such as "The Mark of Zorro" will teach anyone to appreciate great film making. I highly recommend it!

This has to be the best Zorro movie ever made! Its full of action adventure and I promise youll laugh. Even though its a silent film it really is a fun family film. I would recommend this movie to everyone. With Zorro doing all his own stunts it really is absoultely wonderful!!!!
