Enjoyed the movie. The premise is every office is creepy at night a serial killer can pop out at you at any moment. And in this movie he does a lot popping. Not Oscar worthy but then again the movies that have Oscars this past year weren't Oscar worthy. Most movies now is indie stuff that you're suppose to watch like literary classics that you're suppose to read. Not this movie no pretension just an over the top story that pitches the good against a creepy bad guy.
TRAPPED (1989) Starring Kathleen Quinlan
This is not a blockbuster by anyone's imagination, but it is a worthy mystery selection, and very relevant today. I just wish it was out on DVD. My wife and I watch our VHS copy often, but it is not the same as a DVD copy. I think TCM could sell lots of DVDs of this movie. I also think it would be a great movie for a REMAKE.The acting is above average, and the plotting is EXCELLENT. There are even side-plots, serving as red-herrings.The atmosphere is very dark and creepy, with Kathleen Quinlan and her secretary trapped in a high-rise office building, with a mad killer, bent on revenge and stalking their every move. Her only hope is an industrial thief, who is trapped with them. The killer has all night to find everyone who worked late, especially the millionaire in the penthouse, and kill them all, and the best part is, he plans to do just that!I urge everyone who likes dark, moody mysteries to get TCM to put this movie out on DVD soon! This is a VERY ABOVE PARR made-for-cable movie from 1989.If you like mysteries, this is a good one.
