Salute to the Marines
- Joe Mastropolo
Forget about trying to get this released on DVD, how about TCM showing this movie once in a while and then those of us who love this movie can record it at least. How about Veterans Day or around December 7th? I notice as time goes on there is decreasing attention paid to historic events like the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Even the history channel ignores these things.
Marine Vets want to see this movie
Great propaganda movie. Corny but all American to the heart. If you run it we will have our clubhouse watch. Almost 300+ Marines and SAilors will be there
Honoring Our Troops Yesterday and Today
- Diana L. Dilcher
As the daughter of a former Navy serviceman, I would like to see this released. The movie may seem corny to our contemporary minds, but it's attempt to pay tribute to those who laid down their lives for our country should be made available for everyone. And let's not get lulled into a false sense of security. Remember not only Pearl Harbor, but September 11th. Thanks for letting post this. diana dilcher.
Sometimes pacifism works.
Pacifism doesn't work when Corporate America decides to shoot down the workers like they did in the 1920s and 1930s with the help of the police, National Guards, and the Regular Army. If the Marines were told to shoot the workers, they probably would have. Pacifism work in India; otherwise, the British would have been facing a long bloody guerilla war; however, it didn't stop the British from gunning down the Indians when the Indians ignore the order not to have any assemblies. See the movie Gandhi about that scene.

Showing service films I feel shows support and understanding of TROOPS.
What a great movie!

I absolutely love this movie! It goes to show that pacifism doesn't work when people want to kill you. I'd about give my left nut to have this on dvd!
