One more Andy Hardy fan
- Alice
- 7/3/12
I am old enough to have discovered "Andy Hardy" long before now. However, thanks to TCM, I am now, at 67, a loyal fan of the Andy Hardy series of films. I loved this episode very much; great story, nicely done. Many thanks, TCM.

inspiration for Archie, Betty, And Veronica
- Tom Moore

John Goldwater, Publisher of Archie, allowed as how this movie was the inspirationl for his famous comic book characters. Archie Andrews is red-headed, buck-toothed, and freckled... like Mickey Rooney. Betty Cooper, the girl next door was based on Judy Garland. Veronica Lodge, the spoiled debutante was based on Lana Turner (with an bit of Veronica Lake added).

This is the first in the series to primarily focus on Mickey Rooney and the first with Judy Garland. Excellent story, very entertaining, Funny, touching and Judy sings too!

Certainly one of the better Andy Hardy movies in the series, Love Finds Andy Hardy is simply wonderful. This was Garlands First Andy Hardy movie, and she was great in it. All three songs she sang were very nice and the story line was very creative for the time. In all, Love Finds Andy Hardy was a good picture and I recommend it for anyone wanting to see a good comedy from that era of movies.
