Leave your troubles behind on a Sunday afternoon, sit in your favorite chair, take an hour and a half for yourself and relax with this wonderfully silly/scary classic. I mean, c'mon!, it's Hammer, it's Castle, i'ts Tom Poston (who is under recognized for his comedy career pre-Newhart), it's lotsa thunder and rain, mansions and mayhem, what more do you want?ZotZ, that's what I want. Another funny Tom Poston movie, never seen anymore! C'mon, TCM, you need to get on the ball and created an old time block for comedys. You do not have enough old time comedys. I truly believe that a couple of hours spent on a Friday night with Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Jack Benny, in movies like Paleface, The Fuller Brush Woman, or The Horn Blows at Midnight, will help people relax from a hard week's work. Who know, it might even make the kids might put down whatever electronica they're doodling with and watch, even if only to laugh at the adults!

A black comedy by William Castle Productions and Hammer Films with artwork by Charles Addams set at a secluded mansion in Wales, a classic drive-in movie! It was actually filmed in May of 1962 at Bray Studios home of the legendary Hammer Films and at Oakley Court where The Rocky Horror Picture Show was filmed in 1974 as well as Murder by Death in 1976, and Die Monster Die in 1965 with no less a star than Boris Karloff! How cool is that?

It`s been years since I`ve seen this little comedy shown annywhere. Very atmospheric, cheesy humor, it has everything anyone who is a fan of the genre could want. If TCM can find a time slot for Mickey Rooney and a talking duck, I see no reason they can`t give us ths little treat.

I remember seeing this when I was a kid and would like to see it again. Two scenes that stick in my mind are the knitting needles through an old lady's neck and kids chanting "Oranges and Lemons say the bells of St. Clemens."
