...and oh, so cool Glenn Ford heat up the screen in this thriller. With every Rita Hayworth film I see I wish, oh how I wish, they could be colourized, just so I could see her wardrobe in Technicolour!

  • Better than GILDA

GILDA seems like a warm up for this film. Everything is perfect here...the music, the costumes, art design, and a tight plot. It's Rita's picture all the way. Glenn Ford is off-camera for large stretches of time, but he saves the day at the end and winds up with our star. Alexander Scourby is a great villain and Valerie Bettis (who choreographed the dances in this film and in SALOME) nearly upstages everyone. Vincent Sherman's impeccable direction brings it all together. A must-see.

Um filme fantastico que une Rita e Gleen Juntos outra vez. Gostei de tudo no filme e recomendo, pois o filme é excelente. Vc logo se sente na atmosfera dos anos 50.

Good in it's own right, but the similarities to "Gilda" are too hard to ignore. Fine cast, Rita is quite ravishing. The costumes are great and the art direction is excellent too. Entertaining.
