An Exemplary Catholic Story
- PreVatican2
- 10/30/07
Just as others like it, Satan Never Sleeps, The Song of Bernadette, A Man For All Seasons, (Charleton Heston as St. Thomas More) Brideshead Revisited, (the life of Evelyn Waugh as Charles and of Oscar Wilde as Sebastian) the story is love of God in full measure. Such devotion is the only thing that saves souls. Not all mankind is doomed because of sin, but the chosen make their difference between the saved and the lost by repenting their sins, --the lost do not. Liszt and the Princess lived out their lives in penance and sorrow, i.e., repentance, one joining the severity of a monastery, the other living out her marriage as her duty. This is what God expects and what the True Church (not the Vatican II Church) teaches mankind to do for salvation. As the Catholic prayer reminds, "...and may the souls of the FAITHFUL DEPARTED, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen." May Franz Liszt and Princess Carolyne rest in peace.
