  • a real grabber

This slick little mystery grabbed me from the first scene of the movie. What a neat film; full of twists and turns. I loved this one as much as any of the more famous suspense/mysteries that are highly thought of. Thank you TCM for showing us this treat. Please keep showing this one and others like it.

I saw this movie this morning on one of our local channels and I loved it!!! It kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. TCM you show so many of the same movies over and over again but there are so many other gems that you should show but you do not. I just do not understand. I wish I worked for you because I would show this one as well One Potato Two Potato, Outrage, High Wall, Conflict with Humphrey Bogart just to name a few. Please add this movie to your catalog. It could be an Essential.

I watched The Snorkel and enjoyed it but was disappointed that the ending seemed to be cut off and therefore the ending was unresolved. TCM time seemed to have run out. Anybody else experience this?I hope TCM will run this film in its entirety in the future.

The then 28 y/o Betta St John ("Jean Edwards") is nicely slim and pretty.Clever film, lots of plot twists, good ending.
