GRACE THE SCREEN

I THINK THIS WAS ONE OF YOUR BEST ROLES.
More Women Should Be This Dangerous
What is appealing about this movie is J.C's elegent articulation & her character's effort to maintain integrity in all situations whether good, so-so, or bad! Few actors can convincingly pull this off- even the good doctor was a bit trying as such, but he & fellow characters provided the needed harrowing challenges to sharpen Beth's resolve to keep her word.
Joan considered this her worst film.

It's in the 'Trivia' section here. Pretty bad. Just one thing after another in this movie, crisis after crisis, a boiling pot stirred by the psychotic killer-boyfriend in the background or eeek! in the foreground. Oy. Nice to see Dennis Morgan looking so mature and playing it, too. Other than that little point of interest, wish I had skipped this one.
This Woman Is Dangerous (1952)
- James Higgins
Although this is not one of Joan Crawfords best melodramas from the 1950's, it's still a solid story. Joanis ideally cast as a woman involved with gangsters who gets tangled up in a web or intrigue. Corny, yes. Entertaining? Yes. Decent production, good score.
