Convicts 4 is such a great film that shows how art can change people and help them in so many ways. I've seen many films and this is one of my favorites along with A man escaped,Night of Cabiria,Au revoir les enfants. The cast and the story telling is wonderful. Convicts 4 is one of a kind, there'll never be another like this film. It's a great film that everyone should see once in their life.

i've been asking if any of my friends and relatives have seen this movie for over 30 years . thing is , i didnt know the title , but could only give a description of it . ,...rewind to back in the day when the Million Dollar Movie was on PIX11 and i was about 7 or 8 years old and i watched a dozen or so times . ,..have'nt seen it since but , it was one of my all time favorites . ,...f.f. , i was surfing through the channel guide and came across a bunch of prison movies , mentioned it to my g/f and as fate would have it , i got out of a boring hospital visit . flicked to TCM and there was Ben Gazarra stealing the teddy bear from the store owner . vivid memories of him digging the tunnel , the keys clanking on the hollow floor tile . climbing and falling from the wall and breaking his arm , and all the drawing . but i had know idea of the cast and was pleasantly surprised to see the likes of V.Price , My Favorite Martian , Sammy Davis Jr. (talking about NYC and thats' just where I met him , took a polaroid and had him sign it ) But the icing on the cake was when he met his daughter at the gates and she told him his granddaughters' name , *Jeanie . * * ones childhood sweethearts in HS and some 32 years later reunited

In your article about CONVICTS 4, the writer(s) of both the cast list & article lists the warden as being played by Rod Steiger, who looks a great deal like Broderick Crawford!!
