I have always wanted to see these two actors, as have heard of how great they were, so was thrilled to get the opportunity. TCM does it again. This movie is really funny, Lynne Fontainne is just lovely. I had no idea this is what they would be like. Hope it comes out on DVD. Don't miss the chance to see this when it is on.

I have seen "The Guardsman" serveral times and this film should be put in "The Essential" series that TCM does on Saturday Night. This is the only film that as far as I know Broadway greats Alfred Lunt & Lynn Fontanne ever did. This is a movie that needs to be on DVD for people to watch. Having it shown at 4:15 AM is a real injustice to a true classic. I will be first in line when it does get on DVD!!!! This film is one of my favorites. I will be up to see it again.

I saw The Guardsman on TCM it was wonderful.A sophisticated comedy of marital mayhem that will have you laughing and feeling good about the lack of trust that an egocentric husband has about his faithful wife. The Lunts were fanastic and this is their only film they did together in their youth. Just watching it makes you wish they had made more films but this one is a testiment to their comedic talents. Don't miss it.
