Made an impression
I saw this film back in 2015 when you aired it at that time. Since then, it looks like you air this film every two years or so. In my opinion, this film deserved to be aired much more often than once every two years. It made such an impression on me in 2015, that I remembered it by the title alone after seeing it only once. Please consider placing this film for twice a year or so. You show so many films as many as two or even three times in one month. I hope you will consider this request from a long-time faithful viewer.
A Delightful Film
Clever plotting and good acting make this one of the most enjoyable films of its era.
act like you respect it.
for a guy who never really respected the genre ..science fiction help to put some money into the pocket Malcolm McDowell. the story is an interesting idea.
One Of The Best Time Travel Films!
- Kelly Perkins
I saw this movie first when it came out in the theater in the late 70's. It has always been one of my favorite films on time travel; right up there with The Time Machine. Great acting, great script, great direction...you really can't miss with this movie!
Wow! To think I nearly passed this one by! I mistakenly pre-judged this film. Because it was a 70's film about Jack the Ripper, I thought it might be too violent for my taste. I decided after hearing Ben M. give his intro, I would give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. Great acting. Great story. Edge of your seat suspense. Great color. What else can I say? All this, without even one curse word, no blatant sex, and violence that was not excessive. Some gore; not much. It was about the story; and, well-done, at that. Isn't that part of the definition of a "classic"? Thank you Ben. Thank you TCM. Please show this one and others like it, again.
Time After Time...unrecognized classic
- Seth Walker
great film with a clever plot! One of Malcolm Mcdowell's best performances and David Warner, who I have always thought was underrated, is brilliant as Jack the Ripper. I actually stole a shot from this movie for a short film I did in high school. It's a fun thriller with action and suspense and well developed characters. I would write more except I don't want to give anything away. Just watch you won't be disappointed. Kudos to TCM for airing this rarely seen gem.
