Good film!

This is a good enough film to spend watching on a rainy day and I must say I enjoyed it. Of course, Walter Pigeon is a delight and makes the film very watchable. It's the last of a trilogy of films he made as Detective Nick Carter. It's worth noting this film was made before WWII and our entry into that war. We were, as a country, worried over Fifth Column types and the mystery angle here really does intrigue. Joyce Compton excels as the ditz she always portrayed and I loved her performance in this film. Ditto for Donald Meek who is always a great sidekick. American Nazis lose and the rest of our country wins! Everything else surrounding the plot is what is worth watching the film for!
