I haven't seen this movie in 10 years, it is a nice love story with an actor who had a very short career.

  • BRING CHUBASCO BACK!!

This is a sweet, uplifting movie about teenagers in love. I saw it as a teenager and have loved it ever since. There are so many silly or outrageously violent movies today. Chubasco is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours escaping from reality. Susan Strasberg, Richard Egan, Simon Oakland, Anne Southern are all such fine actors, I really don't understand why this movie has not been released on DVD. I would jump at the chance to buy the DVD. I hope it is made. By all means, please BRING CHUBASCO BACK!!!

Chubasco is a romantic and dynamic film which conveys in a very special way that which would be particularly seductive to a European about America. It has a charismatic quality as well as a quality of innocence that seems to be terribly lost under the weight of violent, controversial and edgy quality of much of contemporary cinema, especially young independent directors.I saw Chubasco as a teenager at a cinema on an Adriatic Island when I was on a vacation there and was completely smitten by it.This film deserves to be presented (with accolades) to younger audiences as an American treasure.
