    I also remember seeing this on TV when I as a child, and I never forget it. I'd love to see it now as an adult. A tragic piece of American history.

    I saw this TV movie back in 1979 - so my memory of the quality of the film, script, cast, etc are very hazy. What I do know is the story stuck in mind all these years. When a book was published about it a few years back - I read it. This tragedy is worth remembering not only because of the incident itself - but because of the profound effect it had on the Labor/Union movements in this country. Until someone does a fresh and better remake - this TV film deserves to be seen. I do remember being struck by the acting of Tovah Feldshuh.
