Cut in Sweden (about 90 sec) when released theatrically. Some of the cuts are when Bond fights with Sandor, Bond fights with Jaws on the train, a fight by the pyramid and when Bond kills Stromberg.

US network TV broadcasts over the years have handled Bond's shooting of Stromberg differently. ABC Network prints shown in the 1980s show Bond firing twice. The June 2002 showing on ABC edited out all but the first shot.

Theatrical trailers for the film included footage of Roger Moore as Bond (wearing a suit) recreating the famous gunbarrel opening, after which he walks towards the camera and starts talking to the audience about his latest adventure. The TV version omits the gunbarrel portion and uses a different take of the monologue, with Bond wearing a tuxedo. During the Q lab sequence in the temple, a mannequin is shown being thrown into the air in slow motion by a spring device. In at least one behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the film, this sequence is shown at full speed.
